ROUND 2 FOOTY
As promised, here is my R2 take.
Bad start again for me to tipping. The game we never should have lost we lost somehow. But, there's only good and gooder to speak of beyond Collingwood's 2point loss to the Bane.
The Bulldogs were never in doubt against the Dees. Enough said on that.
Watching the Eagles drop from the heights was rather pleasing, as the Crows took the skies.
The Blues tried to down the Saints, but the Saints stopped toying and started playing.
Ah yes, to the PINNACLE POINT. The Hawks at full soar against the Dockers was an even more pleasing result than the Coasts defeat.
Lets see that's 4 out of 5 as it so happens. Saturday's a good night to sleep, as the scar of Friday is healing. Then wake to a Sunday Swanfest at a Port expense, but still it's good to see Shaun Burgoyne touch the ball.
Never believe a delerious Matthew Lloyd, I didn't. He didn't really think his Bombers could stay in the skies?
To end a great round, the Kangars salute leaving me with a healthy 7 out of 8 for round 2.
See you for R3.
Footy Up
Thursday Night Footy started bad for me given Carlton went down to Richmond. But, it did get better from there when reigning premiers Geelong held on by 9 points against Port. Then Sat my beloved Collingwood did not disappoint. Nor the Sainters in an absolute heart-stopper - keep racking them up Dal Santo.
By here I am thinking things are looking the goods. It starts to look even better when the Lions assail the Coast. But, it's all too brief. The Coast coast on. And I'm ruing the fact I did not pick one Dean Cox as a SuperCoach ruckman. Especially when my husband has. Ah isn't rivalry a wonderful thing!
Anyway, yes, those of you actually keeping a tally would have me at 3 out of 5. Acceptable but not threatening.
The Smiling Assassin, how I wish you were also on my SuperCoach List as the Bulldogs bullied their way to victory. (this one doesn't feel so bad) But still, 3 out of a possible 6 is looking downright pitiful. So thank goodness for the Hawks and their runaway victory.
Just as the Hawks return hope, the Bombers destroy it leaving me with a woeful 4 out of 8. Tipping is not the All however. I'm keen to see how I faired in the SuperCoach comp. So hurry up folk. Details. Details. And PRONTO.
See you in round 2.

TAC SuperCoach (Football)
SuperCoach
I just cannot believe how mad keen I am for the Footy Proper to start up. It's pure madness Me and Footy. I've always been a cricket girl (how good were the one day finals?), but this damned Herald Sun TAC SuperCoach Fantasy thingy has me in a stir.
How it works:
1) you have $10,00000 to buy 30 players, (it runs low pretty quick - pick wisely people)
- 22 of which you will select week in/week out (be sure to check who is in/out)
2) you must select a specific number of key position players, (defenders, midfielders, rucks, forwards)
3) you will be allowed to Trade 2 players through set trade Periods (good opportunity to remove injured players or under achieving players)
4) points are awarded according to the players you have selected and their actual game performance
Choose wisely, and best of luck people!

It seems I have rediscovered my voice. And so, I have this for those who would read a little further. A decade or so ago, for I remember not the exact date, John Leekley & Mark Rein-Hagen saw fit to create the TV series Kindred, 'The Embraced.' Thank Zeus for such a thing. It gave us Julian Luna. The show was leanly based on the D D Role Playing Game - Vampire the Masquerade.

Caulfield Cup: Sensational But Disappointing
The 130th Caulfield Cup should have seen 66 years of hoodoo thwarted by the lightly raced gelding: Maldivian. But, what must have only been minutes before the start, the Zabeel gelding reared at least twice in the barriers sustaining a campaign ending blow. With blood pouring from a gash on his neck, he looked more like a Ranyhyn come from a Kresh attack. Needless to say the Kresh in this instance, being the horse's agitation and a clamp in the barrier. So with blood streaming from the gash, he was lead away saddleless and the Caulfield Cup was the weaker for it. The fave gone, how quickly the Gods turn. Gone too, his chance to prove that he indeed should claim the title of Master. Leaving Kavanagh to walk the long lonely blood trail of what will not be for 2007. And O'reilly took his title, but then I never doubted it once the sensational happened. It left this Maldivian devotee just wanting more
