Craving D'Onofrio

Vincent D'Onofrio
There is no denying D'Onofrio is one of those rare talents that surfaces every so often. His portrayal of Det. Robert Goren has to be one of the all time great thespian performances. Criminal Intent will be the sorrier for his departure.
I have watched one or two of the latter seasons episodes. For mine, D'Onofrio and Erbe are Criminal Intent. Reality is what reality is. Sorry folks shows over.
So now to the why of his departure. He says he wants to direct (this i am awaiting with inexorable anticipation), follow character roles when they arise and spend time with his kids (who wouldn't?).
Ok, so he doesn't want to be a leading man (Herald Sun Feb 28 2007). I say he was born to be one. This is a man who packed on the pounds to play private Pyle in Full Metal Jacket (at great risk to his own health). Ah Methodacting. Yes. But Vincent is more than just a character actor, he is the spit from the tongue, the tear from the eye, the loins from love, and the thought of concept. You will understand what I mean if you grant yourself the pleasure of a D'Onofrio performance.
I can promise you this - as Robert Goren he is as Sherlock was before him, a great master. Do yourself a favour, watch him. And then rewatch him. (Anti-thesis-Criminal Intent)
Full Metal Jacket I am yet to see, I shall rectify this oversight tomorrow. I owe myself that much and his rest. I have to have something to look forward to.
Happy Pursuits Vincent!
Apologies for the unfor seen hiatus folks.
