Enough with the blasted football people, the Ashes approaches, and that means it's time for CRICKETSPEAK.
Indeed the English fell in love last Ashes. Then who would blame them? No-one could deny the battle brilliance of Trescothick and Pieterson, or the cunning captaincy of Vaughan. But go past Flintoff as the crowned King, no-one would. It was with this man that the admiration was most evident. Performance speaks afterall.
But what then could be said of Ponting's lads. Great fight. And of the Australians who watched in dismay as they lost the Urn? Their is always next time. Here, you surely noted my lack of patriotism. And it's not just because Australia lost the Ashes. No, my allegiance is greater than patriotism to a nation. I must be allowed to worship all genius. I watch the game for the game and I'm not about to change now.
I wish to talk a little about England's other bowler. The one I happen to think the world of. He may have been homesick last trip out, but he's all grown up now. I speak of Harmison. Some may say Flintoff has a better technique but I think Harmy has the fluider action, he seems more effortless, more natural. But that's just me.
The word from this cricket madwoman is England to Keep the Ashes.
