Kindred 'The Embraced'

TV Series
It seems I have rediscovered my voice. And so, I have this for those who would read a little further. A decade or so ago, for I remember not the exact date, John Leekley & Mark Rein-Hagen saw fit to create the TV series Kindred, 'The Embraced.' Thank Zeus for such a thing. It gave us Julian Luna. The show was leanly based on the D D Role Playing Game - Vampire the Masquerade.
I'll digress a-little, remember a guy called C Thomas Howell from a film called The Outsiders, well unfortunately, he plays cop Frank (i think that was his name) something-or-other, god-awfully. Pit him against Luna's character, played by Mark Frankel god-gracefully, and you can see one was born for his role and the other probably makes great sandwiches.
With his hair slicked back, you cannot help but notice the face of beauty. Frankel brings Luna to the fore with such impossibility that you forget he isn't real. He was more than image. He was Julian Luna, Prince of the City. I'm sure you'll agree, if you take the time to see this Artist, that he is an Artist we never saw enough of.
I hope this remembers you to us. For sadly, Frankel died in a motorcycle accident.
Go and discover Julian Luna, it is worth your time, I promise.

Thanks for this. Throughout the reading I managed to forget the tradgedy of hisdeath and at the end Im mourning him all over again. The difference between Frank and Julian is so well put - most people see C Thomas Howell as some great actor but in this he failed miserably and damn near brought the whole show down! If not for Julian Luna it would have bombed.
But I was seduced by him - how could anyone not be? In this role he just SHONE even if it was a dark lunar light. There was such grace and beauty in it you couldnt help but be enchanted.
Its such a shame when beautiful men dont take good enough care of themselves - another lost forever is Kevin Smith, who played Ares on Xena. Died rock climbing.

Sylvie - Frankel proved he was more than his image.
Lynne - I would not have continued to watch the show if they had cast another character. The creators knew who was the show. Every part of Kindred grew from Luna/Frankel.
Thanks Girls

Might be able to catch re-runs on Foxtel.
