How Freaky Cool was the work of Mueck in the paper recently? I hadn't even heard of the man. But by Zeus, I remembered his name. And by Zeus, I remember the fine work of his two old ladies. This reaction prompted a further look into the man. It amazed me what i discovered. The man is bloodywell self taught. A lot of talent goes a long way. For goodness sake he even got to work on Labyrinth.
His hyper-real-works would just about have you reaching for a handshake or some other universal greeting.
Do yourself a favour and have a look at this man's work.
Ron Mueck
How freaky is that for Realism?

thanks for the link...the work of Jinks' The Hanging Man is remarkable. Throws me back to when I came across the Holocaust. Don't know if i can quite believe the perspective of the hands, unless of course it's sign of fight, perhaps. Regardless, still enjoyed it.
