The Obsession With Works In Print
I have to admit I suffer gravely from the affliction. But my obsession is not a monetary obsession, though it would be welcome of course. No, my obsession is of another kind. Perhaps my obsession is far worse than the monetary one.
My thoughts are more grandiose, more of lofty. I yearn for the Imoratality of a Grecian Urn. For a quality of voice that Keats would welcome to converse with.
By now you've gathered my obsession is not of the prose or journalism variety, but indeed of the poetry kind. I mean I write a little fiction at times, but nowhere near enough to satisfy a ever churn out Joyce's Ulysses or even Wilde's Dorian. I'd be lucky if my poetry got beyond a tenth line.
I await my Grecian Urn. If you seek the same, I hope you find yours too.
